The stand up circuit has officially arrived in Central Florida. Now it is time for us to start creating the places we can perform in.
I am a comedian and producer from Los Angeles with ties to the industry in New York, Orlando, Tampa and Miami. I have been writing comedy for over 10 years and have sold sets and jokes to other comedians who are way more successful than myself.
I am currently organizing a stand up comedy showcase at a wonderful pub and if it works well, there could be money for future events. With The Orlando Improv re-opening its doors and comedian producers such as myself taking a vested interest in the local scene; we can create an awesome comedy-centric town. My Comedy show will be the only one thats free with professionals for around 40 - 100 miles in either direction and amazing drink and food specials.
Since there will be a large Irish and English presence, any comedy that deals with issues in the UK is greatly encouraged but I want all comedians to apply. Any race, gender, comedy style.
The goal is to start this off right and create a comic community. I used to host and promote for Garage Comedy in LA. Gotham Comedy in NY and other individual shows.
I will be sharing all my strong comics with The Orlando Improv.
